Why We Started Captain Calm
Captain Calm was created by Taro Schenker, a software developer and lifelong dog lover who wanted to use his technical skills to build something meaningful for the dogs he's always been passionate about.
Like many dog owners, Taro found himself overwhelmed by conflicting advice, miracle cure promises, and products that didn't deliver on their claims. The information was out there — scattered across academic journals, veterinary forums, and outdated blog posts — but nobody had brought it together in one clear, evidence-based resource for UK dog owners.
Captain Calm is that resource. It brings together veterinary research, expert advice, and real-world experience into a trusted guide specifically for British pet owners dealing with canine anxiety.
