Information We Collect
Information You Provide
We may collect information that you voluntarily provide to us, including:
- Email address when you subscribe to our newsletter
- Name and contact information when you submit a contact form
- Any other information you choose to provide in communications with us
Automatically Collected Information
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect certain information about your device, including:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- IP address
- Pages visited and time spent on pages
- Referring website addresses
Anonymous Quiz Responses
When you complete one of our assessment quizzes (such as the dog anxiety quiz, separation anxiety assessment, car anxiety quiz, night-time anxiety quiz, or symptom checker), we save the option you selected for each question along with the calculated result (e.g. severity score, likely cause, urgency tier).
These responses are stored anonymously. We do not store:
- Your name, email address, or any other contact details
- Your IP address, browser type, or device fingerprint
- Any session identifier linking quiz responses to other activity on the site
- Anything about your dog (name, breed, age beyond the quiz answer itself)
We use these aggregate, anonymous responses to publish UK dog-anxiety statistics and to improve our content and tools. Because responses are anonymous, we cannot identify which response was yours and therefore cannot delete an individual response on request. You can avoid contributing data simply by not completing a quiz.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Send you our newsletter (if you've subscribed)
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Improve our website and content
- Analyze website usage and trends
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations

We may use both session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your device until deleted or expired) for analytics and functionality purposes.
